Our design is inside the wheel.
A BLDC hub motor sits in the wheel and drives it directly. E-Samarp designs that motor for two-wheeler EVs. The same rare-earth-free approach extends to drone and commercial motors.
A patent-filed ferrite design, for licensing to EV makers. Also available with 40 to 50% less rare-earth magnet, patent granted.

Copper, steel and aluminium have many suppliers. Rare-earth magnets have very few.
100%
rare-earth magnet content
No rare-earth magnet at all, and no exposure to its supply chain.
40 to 50% less rare-earth magnet, for a one-to-one replacement.
Illustration only. This does not show the patented magnet layout.
Designed for existing controllers and production lines. The reduced rare-earth motor matches today’s hub motor one to one.
Finite-element models shape the magnetic circuit before metal is cut. On the ferrite prototype, measured back-EMF was checked against those models at different speeds.
Illustrative visualisation, not FEA output or test data.
The rare-earth-free approach applies to two-wheeler EVs, drone motors and commercial motors. One electromagnetic design capability, five product lines.

A ferrite motor with no neodymium, and no exposure to its supply chain.
Prototype built, back-EMF validated. Patent filed.

40 to 50% less rare-earth magnet, in a one-to-one replacement for today’s hub motor.
Prototype built, test results awaited. Patent granted, second at final hearing.

Ferrite and neodymium designs, up to heavy-lift ratings.
Concept established, designs in progress. Patent filing in progress.

Grid-direct, high-efficiency motors that meet Indian standard IS 12615.
Marketing and manufacturing plan under discussion.

Multi-objective optimization of induction motors and PMSMs, combining FEM and machine learning.
Groundwork done, testing in process.
Indian patent filings, backed by four years of research and physical prototypes.
| Line | Stage | Patents |
|---|---|---|
| 100% rare-earth-free ferrite hub motor | Prototype built, no-load test with back-EMF validated at different speeds | 1 filed |
| Reduced rare-earth hub motor | Prototype built, test results awaited | 1 granted, 1 final hearing completed |
| Drone motors | Concept established, designs in progress | Filing in progress |
IE4 and IE5 line-start PMSM: meets IS 12615, marketing and manufacturing plan under discussion. AI-based optimization: groundwork done, testing in process. Mid-drive versions of the reduced rare-earth motor are in progress. The ferrite motor has been tested at no load so far, so ask us for current load-test status.
Many induction motors in production today were designed years ago, without computer-based tools. Redesigning them with FEM, multi-objective optimization and machine learning is intended to make them smaller, lighter, cheaper to build and more efficient. Testing is in process.
